The North Edison Branch is nearly the completion of its renovation, and we’re still giving patrons the opportunity to leave their mark on the building with our Buy a Brick campaign.
This fundraising venture, organized by the Edison Public Library Foundation, allows anyone to leave a unique message in a brick of their choosing. Bricks are available in two sizes—4” x 8” for $100 and 8” x 8” for $200—and can be inscribed with a special message of your choice.
Brick sales are currently underway with orders due by April 15, 2026 to ensure placement in time for the North Edison Branch’s grand re-opening. Order forms are available at all Library’s branches, on the Bookmobile, and on our website at edisonpubliclibrary.org/foundation.
Funds raised by the Buy a Brick campaign will enable the Library to purchase necessities for the North Edison Branch without having to dip into the budget. These items include, but aren’t limited to, new furniture, resources for the expanded Children’s Room, and future programs.

Reading to your child has been scientifically shown to have numerous benefits, and the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten was designed to incentivize parents to give their children a head start.
Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
