Over the course of the four-week program, Edison teens and tweens will have the opportunity to learn storytelling structure, character and environment design, storyboarding, and visual development from Gene Kim. At the end of the course, each participant will have created their very own two- to four-page manga comic.
Kim attended Pixar’s Undergraduate Program and, through his role at Blue Sky Studios, worked on such films as Ice Age, Rio, and The Peanuts Movie.
The Anime Creator’s Club will take place at the Main Library; sessions will run from 3:00 to 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 26 and Mondays, June 1, June 8, and June 15.
