Edison Public Library patrons in 8th through 12th grade interested in learning more about the invention process can join Lisa Ascolese, CEO & founder of Inventing A to Z, LLC, for a 90-minute workshop on Saturday, June 6.
Taking place at the Main Library from 2:30 to 4:00pm, the workshop will cover all aspects of the inventing process—from concept to fruition— with a focus on encouraging participants to think outside of the proverbial box by using their imagination to solve everyday problems.
Working in small groups, participants will be challenged to handle a problem, build and name a concept for an invention to address it, and create a slogan, infomercial, and marketing plan. Groups will also pitch their product and infomercial with the winning pitch selected by Ascolese, an inventor who holds dozens of patents, trademarks, and copyrights and whose products have been featured on major television networks, radio stations, and in magazines.
Registration for the Inventing A-to-Z program is currently underway and participation is limited to 35 with a minimum of 10 required.
