Artificial intelligence, commonly referred to as AI, is advancing at a pace that has stunned leading experts and, on Saturday, June 13, adult patrons are invited to explore Where AI is in 2026 and Where it is Going at an in-person workshop. 
 
Join representatives from the AI Safety Awareness Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on the belief that a safe AI future is one where the traditional pillars of U.S. society have a seat at the table in deciding its direction, at 11:00am for a 90-minute program that will tackle a variety of topics.
 
This fast-paced, beginner-friendly workshop will touch upon the use of AI for jobs, crimes, companionship, and in society. There will also be live demos and interactive forecasting exercises. 
 
Adults patrons are invited to attend and learn more. Registration is suggested but not required.

Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
