Hear ye, hear ye! It’s time to embark on a reading revolution!
Our Summer Reading Program will officially kick off this weekend and for 2026, the Edison Public Library is celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary with a 10-week program centered around the theme “Reading is Revolutionary.”
On Saturday, June 20, patrons of all ages can join us for a spirited kick-off taking place at the Main Library at 10:00am, the Clara Barton Branch at 11:00am, and the North Edison Temporary Location at noon. At each branch, attendees will experience the sounds of our ancestors with a live, interactive performance of early American music by musician Jim Gaven. Patrons will also have the opportunity to try their hand at traditional colonial crafts as well as celebrate our country’s independence with a cool treat from the ice cream truck.
This fun and free family-oriented event centered around history and high spirits is the perfect way to declare your right to read this summer!
