Join Sana Javeri Kadri and Asha Loupy at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 23 for Simple, Sustainable, and Powerfully Delicious Meals, a virtual program centered around their joint venture, The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook.

Diaspora Spice Co., founded by Kadri, sources flavorful, fresh spices from 150 regenerative farms throughout South Asia—including those from elders, indigenous communities, young changemakers, and multi-generational farming families across India and Sri Lanka who are leading the way in sustainable and climate change–resistant agriculture.

Filled with culinary storytelling, The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook highlights these farmers and their spices with profiles and evocative photography, plus 85 recipes for simple, seasonal, and powerfully delicious meals. Together, Kadri and recipe writer Loupy highlight beginner friendly, freezer friendly, and dinner party menu ready recipes as well as those that lend themselves to be pantry building blocks, all for a super easy-to-navigate cookbook.

Register now to learn more about Diaspora Spice Co. and submit questions to the presenters. Patrons who tune in live will also have the chance to win a copy of The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook. You can find the giveaway link in the “resources” section area, under the broadcast screen during the live event; please ensure you are watching on the Edison Public Library’s webpage for the chance to participate.
