Join the Raritan Valley YMCA staff in preparing children and adults to be safer around bodies of water with this interactive, engaging program.
Many families lack the knowledge and ability to react in a water emergency. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1 - 4 and the second leading cause for ages 1 - 14.
This program's goal is to address child drowning by teaching water safety skills that could ultimately save lives.
With funding provided by the USA Swimming Foundation and the CDC Pool Safety Grant/Middlesex County Department of Health, the Raritan Valley YMCA is providing free community workshops throughout the county.
Open to: Grades 4 - 8 with an adult
Registration is required.
