Know a teen that’s interested in writing? In honor of National Novel Writing Month, the Edison Public Library's Teen Advisory Board is encouraging Edison teens to flex their creative writing muscles with a short story contest. The contest will run through the month of November and is open to Edison teens between the ages of 11 and 18. (Full rules are available on the submission form.) Interested teens can pick up a flyer, Tips for Short Story Writing from NaNoWriMo’s Young Writers Program, at any Edison Public Library branch. They can also watch NaNoWriMo’s How to Write Short Stories webcast for tips and advice for the writing process.
